Notice is hereby given by the City of Nanaimo (City) of its intent to direct award a contract to: Pictometry Canada Corp. 140 Fullarton Street Suite 104, Talbot Centre London, Ontario N6A 5P2 Background Summary: As part of the overall City of Nanaimo Remote Sensing Program, the City utilizes oblique aerial photography covering the entire jurisdiction of the City for a wide variety of purposes. These purposes include the administration and enforcement of bylaws related to the protection of trees, the protection of riparian habitat, permitted land use or the administration and enforcement of bylaws in relation to buildings or other structures pursuant to the Community Charter and the Local Government Act RSBC. In addition to the above listed uses, the photography is also used for general site review purposes in relation to applications for development, rezoning or the like. Project Scope: Collection, processing and ongoing display of the imagery is required in 2023 and 2025. Image Display component only is required in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. The Vendor will be required to assist the City to complete a Privacy Impact Assessment. Respondents wishing to challenge the decision to this direct award should submit a detailed written objection through the bids&tenders website before the Closing Date and Time. All Respondents must have a Bidding System Vendor Account and be registered as a Bidder for this Notice of Intent in order to submit a challenge. This Notice of Intent is subject to the New West Partnership Trade Agreement, Canadian Free Trade Agreement - Chapter 5, and the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) - Chapter 19.
