Notice is hereby given by the City of Nanaimo (City) of its intent to direct award a contract to: Vimar Equipment Ltd. 7445 Lowland Drive, Burnaby, BC V5J 5A8 T: 604-430-4274 | F: 604-439-7926 | vimarequipment.com Background Summary: Due to supply chain issues, production delays, and Refuse Collection Truck breakdown, the City of Nanaimo needs to rent or lease a refuse collection truck equipped with an automated collection arm, until the new unit in order is delivered to the City in 2023. Project Scope: The City of Nanaimo requires a refuse collection truck equipped with an automated collection arm with a minimum load capacity of 12 tonnes and a minimum collection volume of 30 cubic yards. The unit shall be equipped with a side automated collection arm able to collect residential waste carts from 120 liter to 360 litre. This Notice of Intent is subject to the New West Partnership Trade Agreement, Canadian Free Trade Agreement - Chapter 5, and the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) - Chapter 19. |
