Description: 

The City invites Proposals from qualified and experienced Consultants to undertake an updated Housing Needs Assessment for the City of Nanaimo (“the City”). The project will achieve the following:

  1. Identify the current and emerging housing needs in a post-pandemic context;
  2. Build on existing studies to evaluate the housing supply to identify gaps in housing across the housing continuum;
  3. Support a strategic approach to land use planning and implementation; and
  4. Compare housing supply with housing demand to determine the resources required to meet future needs.
