This Expression of Interest (“EOI”) is issued by the City of Nanaimo (“the City”) for identifying experienced non-profit service providers that are interested in providing a Rent Supplement Program.  The project is intended to run up to one year or until funds are expended and will provide rent supplements for individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness who do not have sufficient funds to either find or maintain appropriate housing. 

Respondents interested in responding to this EOI must: 

a) Operate as a non-profit entity; 

b) Demonstrate previous experience providing similar services. Include the type of services provided, length of time that these services have been provided, and target population services have been provided to;

c) Demonstrate organization and staffing capacity to deliver the required program; 

d) Be a registered Society or non-profit entity with Bylaws that must not permit directors to serve as employees or to receive remuneration; 

e) Have rules of conduct in accordance with the provider’s purposes and applicable legislation.
