The City of Nanaimo is seeking a Project Management Consultant to oversee approximately $5M annually in capital projects within Parks and Civic Facilities. Reporting to the Deputy Director, Parks and Natural Areas, the Consultant will manage projects such as playgrounds, washrooms, sports fields, outdoor recreation spaces, and small civic buildings, including retrofits. The role provides technical expertise in project delivery and contract administration, ensuring all work aligns with the City’s Project Management Framework.

Core responsibilities include leading project planning, execution, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring high-quality, community-focused outcomes, and as further described in Section 5.0., of the RFP Document.
 

This is “as and when required” Agreement does not guarantee any minimum amount of work or exclusivity. The City reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to source services from other Consultants to meet operational requirements, if it is more practical or cost-effective to do so.  This agreement may also be utilized by other City departments from time to time, as required,  subject to the same terms and conditions.
 

This Request for Proposal is subject to the New West Partnership Trade Agreement, the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (Chapter 5), and the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (Chapter 19).
